corona virus action plan
Demand your remodeler has Coronavirus Action Plan

The Covid 19 outbreak has taken us all by surprise. Many of our existing and potential clients are wondering whether they can get a quote, or start their existing project. The short answer is yes you can, but with some caveats. Below I've listed what we are doing for our new clients looking to get quotes, as well as our existing clients ready to start their projects to ensure the safety of our clients and our employees.

If Your Remodeler Doesn't Have a Coronavirus Action Plan, Demand One.

Can I Get A Quote?
Yes. Our project management staff is still providing quotes utilizing a number of resources at our disposal to ensure the safety of our potential clients and our staff.

Exterior Projects (Siding, Windows, Roofing): Our project management staff will meet with you onsite and maintain a strict 6 foot social distancing guideline while discussing your upcoming project. We can get all necessary measurements, discuss project details and go through our presentation while maintaining proper social distancing guidelines outside of the home. Should we need to go in the home for critical measurement (i.e. windows) we have protective masks, protective gloves and sanitary wipes to wipe down any surfaces we touch. This allows us to safely interact with our clients while providing a full estimate. Once the quote is completed we can further communicate with our clients utilizing Zoom online meetings, Facetime, email communication or a phone call to answer any additional questions.

Remodeling Projects (Kitchen, Bath, Basement, Addition)Our project management staff will meet call you initially to discuss project details, and schedule to meet with you onsite while maintaining a strict 6 foot social distancing guideline while discussing your upcoming project. We can discuss project details and go through our presentation while maintaining proper social distancing guidelines. Should we need to go in the home for critical measurement of the space we have protective masks, protective gloves and sanitary wipes to wipe down any surfaces we touch. This allows us to safely interact with our clients while providing a full estimate. During the quoting process our designers and project consultants are able to utilize Zoom online meetings, & Facetime walkthroughs to further interact with our clients to get all of the necessary information to provide an estimate or answer questions once an estimate has been provided.

Once a project is signed our clients can work virtually with our designers to make selections, get samples in order to get the project ready for construction. Many remodels take 4-6 weeks of design, planning and ordering to get ready for the construction phase. Many of our clients are staying home currently and have a lot of extra time that they can spend with our design team to get their project ready for the build phase. We are still seeing strong demand for our services so the clients who take advantage now will be the ones most likely to get their project built this season. We are anticipating a large surge in demand once the Covid 19 outbreak starts to clear so now is the time to act if you want your project done this season.

What Safety Precautions Are You Taking?
LRS has laid out strict guidelines for employees, sub contractors and clients during the remodeling process.

Here is a list of our action plan on every remodel;

1. Employees are instructed to stay at home if they feel any illness coming on, no matter how minor. If an employee has symptoms synonymous with Covid 19 they cannot return to work until the following has occurred;
-At least 3 days have passed since recovery (no fever without the use of fever reducing medications)
-Improvement in any respiratory symptoms
-At least 7 days have passed since the symptoms first appeared
2. A hand-washing station will be on every job-site and employees are required to wash their hands when arriving, and leaving the job-site
3. Employees are to practice social distancing when working together. If unable to do so they will wear a protective mask. Clients are instructed to not interact with our onsite crew in any capacity. All communications are done through the project consultant assigned to the job who will than communicate to the crew members.
4. Disinfectant will be onsite each job so employees can disinfect tools and surfaces and the end of each work day.
5. We establish a "safety zone" utilizing a ZipWall system or natural barriers (i.e. framed walls of an addition) to separate our crews from our homeowners. If its necessary to walk through the living space of the home our crew members will wear a protective mask while in the homeowners space.
For jobs that we are unable to create a "safety zone" we request that our clients find an alternative place to stay during the week while we are onsite remodeling or wait until the stay at home order is rescinded.
6. Our project consultants can use virtual, and digital communication to effectively communicate to our clients throughout the remodeling process. If an in person meeting is necessary we will follow social distancing guidelines or wear a protective mask if its necessary to be in the living space of the homeowner.

Should I Get A Quote Now Or Wait?
We are still seeing a surprising amount of demand for our services and we are forecasting a massive demand surge once the Covid 19 situation is resolved. Here are some reasons why getting a quote now makes sense.

Beat The Rush: Beat the rush of people that will want a remodeling quote once the Covid 19 situation is resolved. We are forecasting record demand for remodeling post Covid 19 and wait times to start a project will likely be 12-18 months.
Extra Time For Design/Planning: Take advantage of this extra time that you are home to get the design and selections done on the project. We currently have access to our clients that would have been unheard of before Covid 19 hit as many are working from home and have extra time to spend on the design side of their project. Typically a remodeling project takes 6-8 weeks of design, ordering and planning. Use this time to get all of that completed so that you can have the project completed this season as opposed to next year.
Competitive Pricing: Pricing is competitive right now. Once the demand surge hits for remodeling projects prices will inevitably rise, and rise quickly.

Be Selective In Your Hiring Process
The Covid 19 outbreak has been a shock to us all and changed the way we live our daily lives. We can't stress enough that any contractor you are considering must have a plan to operate within the Covid 19 environment and be able to fully articulate that plan to their clients. Great companies will have already formulated an action plan giving their clients peace of mind throughout the remodeling process. Lifetime Remodeling Systems has been a market leader for over 20 years and we are always looking for ways to improve our client experience. In these uncertain times we can ensure that we will lay out a remodeling action plan and execute it with our industry leading workforce, and project management staff.
