App. Cost: $11,404
Description of Work: Replaced 13 windows (including a 5' x 10') and a sliding glass door.
Member Comments: Angie's List 2006 Award Winner says it all. I called and talked to Gino. He was very upfront about their services and our time frame (within 60 days). He came out within the week. Bid was $8995 plus the slider. We upgraded the large window to get to $11,404. The windows were delivered in less than 3 weeks time, and installed almost immediately. Not only are the windows superior quality, but the install was superb. Jason (installer) did the job in 3 days and did excellent work, the windows look and fit perfect. Getting our old windows out was a challenge. Jason was very thorough and extremely clean with his work area. When the job was done, Gino came out to inspect and make sure we were happy. We are VERY happy! Hire these guys to do your windows. I cannot tell you how great it was to work with them.

Description of Work: Removed former T-111 siding, and applied hardy plank siding. Painted exterior siding and trim.
Member Comments: Lifetime Remodeling was extremely professional from start to finish. Their initial presentation and estimates were detailed, understandable to the average homeowner, and Kelly spent at least 2 hours with me, answering all questions with expertise and patience. Their work crews were always on time, hard working and polite. The quality of the work was superb. Their attention to detail was also exceptional, as if they were working on their own home. The work was performed exactly as described in their literature. Limited, minor flaws were carefully examined and fixed without hesitation. The paint was of the highest quality and applied evenly, generously, and neatly. Their follow up inspections exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this company!

App. Cost: $20,000
Description of Work: Removal of 80-year-old cedar siding, blown-in insulation, new siding with Hardiplank Smooth, complete paint job.
Member Comments: This was an outstanding experience. Gino responded quickly to phone calls and came over for an estimate in the evening to suit my schedule. He thoroughly explained the job and everything went just how he said. The crew was courteous and informative. They even moved some jobs around to get it done before I hosted a baby shower! We originally ordered factory-painted Hardiplank but when they began the install, we realized the paint job was defective. I didn't have to say anything; the crew called Gino and as soon as he saw the problem, he had the crew tear off the defective siding and promised to have new, primed siding there within two days. This did happen, and they painted it beautifully on-site. Follow-through after the main job was completed has been thorough as well although I've had to "remind" about a couple very small things. For example, there was some small interior plaster damage and I'm expecting the "plaster guy" to call any day to repair, at no additional charge.

Description of Work: Remove EIFS stucco siding and replace with cedar siding and cultured stones and repaint the whole house.
Member Comments: We had EIFS stucco covering the front facade of our house. We got several estimates, some cheaper than Lifetime, but they were not from contractors that we had confidence in. We got a very fair price from Lifetime. We chose to have new cedar siding with cultured stone. We already had an entry arch that was faced in cultured stone and it proved impossible to match with new cultured stoned, so it was removed along with the EIFS. All of Lifetime's workers were very careful and they always kept the site clean and organized. All the crews who worked on our house did good work and were polite and professional, but we were particularly impressed with stone masons, who are true craftsmen. The whole house was completely repainted and Lifetime promptly took care of the final details to bring the project to a close. We are now confident that we have quality materials and quality workmanship and we are very happy with the end result.

Description of Work: Lifetime Remodeling Systems replaced the deteriorating siding on our house with HardiPlank, put cedar trim around the windows, rebuilt the soffits around the entire house, and installed a beautiful, energy efficient new front door. They also did a terrific job painting the siding and trim. Gino Streano served as general contractor, coordinating new deck installation, new roof and new gutters as well.
Member Comments: We were extremely impressed from beginning to end with the responsiveness of Gino. He explained the work needing to be done and the products in great detail. He patiently answered all of our questions, and kept in constant contact with us via e-mail and phone. He stopped in on the job site frequently to monitor progress. We had numerous problems due to the poor construction of our house and Gino was able to provide recommendations and solutions. His work crews were friendly, efficient and cleaned the area up each day.

Description of Work: Siding replacement with smooth Hardi-Plank, blow in wall insulation in some walls, replace all window sills and window trim, replace gutters, exterior paint.
Member Comments: Gino was very responsive in getting us an initial bid, and working with us on the details of what needed to be done. Roger was especially helpful in the process of choosing colors, and in later working with us as the painting was being done. As the job proceeded, Gino or Roger stopped by just about every morning to check on progress and answer questions, and were always available at other times. It was a real joy working with these guys and their crews - they were always willing to accomodate a request, and the results are really great! I would highly recommend them!

Description of Work: We had them install hardy plank 5 inch siding around our 1400 square foot home. They also installed new bowed insulation and a new Simpson front door. The workers also removed the old, siding, insulation, and door from the property.
Member Comments: They did a great job with all of the projects. It took them about 3 weeks to finish. There were several different crews that showed up during the process. We checked over the work as they finished each project and were satisfied. There was not even one thing done wrong. When the complete job was done, they cleaned up every area very well. We did get several estimates and they were the lowest.

Description of Work: We had a complete tear off of the old siding on our house and garage, insulation blown in and cedar shingle siding installed, that was pre-stained with a natural finish on the house, with hardiplank siding installed on garage. New trim was installed around all doors and windows. All trim, windows, chimney and garage were painted.
Member Comments: From the very beginning when meeting with Gino, we were very impressed with the professionalism, excellent communication and knowledge of every person who completed our project. From Logan and his crew to Roger and his crew, we were very impressed by the craftsmanship and quality of the work performed. We have had many projects completed on our home and this one by far exceeded our expectations, both in the final product and the amazing communication that we experienced at every phase of the project. We cannot recommend this company enough!!! Thank you to everyone at Lifetime Remodeling Systems, we love our beautiful restored bungalow and continue to get compliments. We will always consider you as our friends.

App. Cost: $32,000
Description of Work: We hired Lifetime Remodeling to remove EFIS siding on the street facade of our home and replace it with tight-know cedar and cultured stone. They removed the EFIS and repaired and replaced an area with minor structural water damage. They installed a moisture barrier and flashing before installing tight knot cedar to match the rest of the house. Next they sent John (Michaelanglo) to install cultured stone accents adding character to select areas on the front of the house. Ralph and John were instrumental in helping us decide where to place the stone treatment for maximum esthetic appeal. The stone work includes large columns that support our front entry, stone surrounding a large window that became the focal point of the front of the house, and waist high stone "walls" on the garage area tying the entire front of the house together architecturally. The last step in the project was completed with 2 coats of highly weather resistant paint on the entire house and trim.
Member Comments: We are "150%" satisfied with the outcome of our project. From start to finish everything turned out better than we expected. Ralph's attention to detail, thoroughness explaining every step, and patience with us as we made our choices on the type of stone, where to place the stone, and paint colors was outstanding. The Lifetime team, including Gino, Jamie, John, Roger and Steve "the painter" were a pleasure to have around. As a homeowner, when I pick a contractor, one of my primary criteria (not price) is that the workers treat the project like a home rather than a job site. Ralph and his team exemplified this behavior. As an example, I came home from work one evening in time to find Jamie and his crew vacuuming our driveway as they were cleaning up for the day. John, the stone mason was as meticulous as an artist, hence "Michaelanglo." The finished job lived up to his nickname. Steve and his crew were so good we have since hired them to paint our interior trim and mouldings.

Description of Work: Lifetime completely re-sided our home. This included removing all of the existing siding, fixing all dry rotted boards, soffits, and fascia. They put up a vapor barrier, including rubber gaskets around the windows. They installed 2.5" reveal preprimed cedar lap siding. They also installed new trim around the windows, and painted the house and trim. We added on a new back door pain and installation, halfway through the job, and they accommodated us in that. Finally, they installed new gutters.
Member Comments: Ralph came to do the bid, and was very professional. He explained that they would be a bit higher than other bids, because they focus on quality, both of construction and of materials. The company handled all of the details, including a portapotty, so that the installers did not need to bother us. The installers were great. They worked carefully and obviously knew what they were doing. The site manager, Roger, came out every day to not only check in with the progress, but to check in with us to make sure that we did not have any concerns. Any questions or concerns that we did have were handled quickly and professionally. Steve, the paint guy came out to the house, and brought a paint fan and talked to us about what kind of paint scheme would look good on a small house like ours. Roger helped us pick a paint scheme and even had a couple of addresses of houses that they have done recently that had good colors. Finally, they installed new gutters.

Description of Work: Lifetime Remodeling Systems replaced 4 of my sliding windows and replaced my living room sliding window with a bay window.
Member Comments: Ralph Streano gave a very thorough presentation on his company, styles of windows and quality of windows available. I was indecisive about what I wanted. He was so helpful in describing possibilities. I never had to leave a message for him. He always answers his phone! The work was done as promised with strict adherence to scheduling. The installers were efficient, tidy and a pleasure to have around the house. Ralph was genuinely interested in my satisfaction with the windows and workmanship. I've lived in my present house for about 10 years and always thought of it as being quite boring. With the addition of beautiful windows, my boring house has been transformed into a welcoming home. Not only is there visual beauty, but also there is inviting warmth since our heat is now staying in the house. I will continue to call Ralph for all future remodeling projects.

Description of Work: 9 original single pane windows from a 1940's house were changed out to double hung vinyl windows. The front flat picture window was turned into a bay window. We also had the outsides of all the windows wrapped.
Member Comments: All the work went very well. Logan - our contact at the company - was in contact with us from the start of the job until it was finished. The workers - Charles and Rob - were professional, friendly and did a great job. We were kept informed of what work was going to be done when and we were offered choices when the situation called for it. We had window trim on another bay that was previously changed out and they went out of their way to match the trim they used to exactly what we had. For the couple of small unexpected situations, the company went out of their way to fix things to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend and use Lifetime Remodeling again.

Description of Work: My house is a 50 year old bungalow in the Lincoln area of Vancouver. They removed 2 old layers of siding (1 vinyl, 1 cedar) and installed Weiss Cascade pre-painted Hardi Plank. They replaced 7 windows, painted trim/soffit/and that fascia stuff. They also did blow-in insulation.
Member Comments: As a single woman with zero DIY skills I was very pleased to find that Lifetime was a trustworthy, quality focused and customer service savvy contractor. My house looks absolutely amazing. Even people I don't know in my neighborhood have stopped to tell me how good my house looks now. Lifetime worked around my schedule (which can be hectic), followed up with me when they said they would and were very professional. I would definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: Lifetime re-sided our house from top to bottom. Took off old shakes, put on cedar lap siding, re-framed windows where needed, painted the whole thing, body and trim, removed an old side door and put in a new side door.
Member Comments: The project was done with supreme professionalism. The siding crew was especially hard working. They did just an incredible amount of work so quickly so that our house was without its "skin" for only a few days. They were so careful with outside electrical connections, removing old lights and wires and leaving electrician-ready openings for our new fixtures. Jaime, the crew leader for the siding portion of our project was very good and communicated daily about what was going on the job. Throughout the work the company was very detail oriented, making sure that things were done right. They are proud of their workmanship and quality of materials and rightly so. They were even careful about responding to my questions about paint chips left in the garden, scooping them up with a vacuum. One employee communicated with us frequently about decisions to be made at each stage. The painting crew was just as good. I have to say that it was a great experience working with them all.

Description of Work: SIDING. FIRST OFF, LIFETIME WAS THE ONLY COMPANY TO CALL ME BACK AND SCHEDULE AN ESTIMATE WITH ME RIGHT AWAY, THE FIRST SIGN THAT THEY ARE A COMPANY COMMITTED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. RALPH STREANO GOT ME A GREAT DEAL ON CEDAR SIDING, WORKED UP AN ESTIMATE AND LITERALLY CALLED ME BACK THE NEXT DAY. I HAD PREVIOUSLY HAD VINYL SIDING, WHICH WAS FALLING OFF. RALPH ADVISED ME ON THE BEST WAYS TO INCREASE THE VALUE OF MY HOME WHILE ALSO GETTING BANG FOR THE BUCK. THE CREW DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE SIDING, WHICH IS PERFECT AND SEAMLESS. THE PROJECT MANAGER, ROGER LINDSTROM, GAVE ME DAILY UPDATES ON THE WORK BEING DONE, CATERED TO MY EVERY COLOR WHIM, AND PAINTED UP SAMPLES ON MY HOUSE. RALPH ALSO FOLLOWED UP WITH ME REGULARLY. THIS IS A COMPANY I TRUST, THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK AND THE CRAFTSMANSHIP IS AMAZING. YOU CAN'T BEAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THIS AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. NOT TO MENTION, THEY FINISHED THE JOB ON TIME. WITHIN 6 WEEKS.

Description of Work: Removed all siding from second story, added insulation, installed new Hardiplank siding and painted it. Also removed three large picture windows and dry rotted frames. Replaced with new thermal glass, frames, and painted. Scraped and painted all windows on ground level and upper level. Also painted porch areas and part of foundation area.
Member Comments: The first thing that impressed me about Lifetime Remodeling was the time Gino spent explaining all the options available to me and the pros and cons of each one. He came with samples to look at, pages of references and was prepared to give me a bid right then. When the job actually started, Gino stopped by frequently to check in. Roger, who supervised the painters, was also on the job site daily, sometimes several times a day and was a great help in choosing paint colors. The siding, window and painting crews were great to work with, very courteous and worked hard to get the job done. As with any kind of remodeling, there were a few unexpected issues that came up, but anything I was concerned about Gino took care of. Roger did a lot of follow-up with me to make sure I was aware of schedules, weather issues related to painting, and really served as my main point of contact. I would definitely hire Lifetime Remodeling again.

Description of Work: Total Renovation of the exterior of our house. Removed old exterior siding and replaced with Hardiplank and added Piedmont Field Stone to front, side and entire chimney.
Member Comments: Looking for a great company to do your remodeling? Look no farther. Ralph, Gino, Roger and their crews had to deal with some of Oregon's worst winter weather in years to complete our remodel. They were easy to work with letting me complete repairs while siding was exposed. The siding crew paid close attention to detail making sure everything was level and flush with each part of the house. Always checking with me as they progressed, because I had some special requests in certain areas of the house. The Rock crew had a tough job making the rock fit nicely being the field stone is all different shapes and sizes and the chimney is 35' tall. It looks just great. The neighbors can't get over how the house has been transformed. The paint crew put the finishing touch on the job and the colors look great with the rock. Again Many Thank Yous! to Ralph, Gino, Roger and their Crews they were a pleasure to work with and We highly recommend Lifetime Remodeling Systems.
