I am writing to tell you how pleased we are with the work your firm did on our house last fall. I can report that midway during a pretty wet winter everything is performing very well.
When you started working on the house, the siding needed to be replaced. The roof needed to be replaced. The old roof lost shingles in every wind storm. When the wind blew from a certain direction, we had a leak in the downstairs bay window which we could not fix. Some windows were broken and needed to be replaced.

You replaced the siding with your vinyl siding, covered the soffits and fascia, replaced the roof, and replaced the windows.
Although most of the wiring was installed inside the walls during initial construction, we had one existing phone line which was installed on the outside of the house. In addition, we wanted to add two new telephone extensions. Your staff carefully ran new phone wire under the new siding.
Also, we have a toolshed which is attached to the house. It was not clear whether the siding could be replaced without moving the shed. You came up with a plan which did not require moving the shed and resulted in a better fit of shed to house than the original installation.

Now I can report that everything works as advertised. The siding works, the roof works, the shingles stay on the roof when the wind blows, the downstairs bay window does not leak, and the new phones work just great. The house looks terrific (more about that later).
We had not previously done business with your firm and we did not have any recommendations from people we knew. I made first contact with your firm because of your ad in the yellow pages. My first impressions were favorable and we had a meeting. We liked what we heard and we asked you to do the work. Some people are better at it than others, but anyone can tell a good tale and can make promises. Even though after meeting you we expected you to deliver on your promises, one can never be sure what will happen. We were not surprised to find that, indeed, you did exactly what you said you would do, but we were nevertheless very pleased that it was so.

We expected the quality of materials and workmanship to be first rate and it was. We were pleased with your attention to our needs. And we were pleased with the attention to detail in the work.
What I did not expect was how good the house would look when done. Of course, I knew the look would be improved, but that is not the reason we chose to have the work done. We wanted functional improvement and a very low maintenance exterior. What we got was all of that plus a much more attractive house. Covering the soffits and fascia made a great difference in the overall appearance of the house in general and in the entryway in particular.
