to Ask
Q:
Do you tear off my existing moisture barrier and replace it with
a high quality moisture barrier?
LRS: We will completely remove your old moisture barrier and replace
it with the highest quality moisture barrier available today,
the Valeron Vortec rain screen system.
Q:
Will you seal in all of my existing windows with Grace Rain &
Ice shield or a similar product?
LRS: Yes, we seal all of your existing windows with Grace Rain
& Ice Shield to further protect your house from moisture infiltration.
Remember, leaky windows are the #1 customer complaint on a remodeling
job.
Q:
Do you use a flush mount attachment on your nail gun to insure
that there aren’t overdriven nails?
LRS: All of our crews use a flush mount attachment on their nail
guns to insure that there are no overdriven nails, which cause
significant damage to the back of a piece of installed HardiPlank
or cedar.
Q:
Do you use stainless steel nails that won’t rust?
LRS: We only use triple ring shank stainless steel nails, guaranteed
not to rust. In the case of our pre-painted products we use stainless
steel nails painted to match the color of your choice.
Q:
Do you use an elastomeric caulk such as Sonolastic 150 guaranteed
to last 20 years or more?
LRS: Failing caulk is the number one reason for residing callbacks.
We only use Sonolastic 150 which is guaranteed by the manufacturer
not to fail (shrink or crack) in writing. They were the only manufacturer
who would give us such a claim in writing.
Q:
Do you backflash seams in the field?
LRS: Yes, we backflash all seams in the field with heavy duty 60
min SuperJumboTex tar paper.
Q:
Do you offer pre-painted siding?
LRS: Yes. We are proud to have a partnership with Weiss Cascade,
the premier coating and finishing company in the Northwest. We
have our siding and trim delivered to Weiss who inspects it for
the correct moisture content and than applies 2 baked on coats
of a high-quality acrylic paint in a temperature and humidity
controlled environment. The result is an extremely durable, even
coating that comes with a full 25 year warranty.
Q:
Do you offer any sort of customer service representative for each
job?
LRS: Yes. Not only do you have direct contact with the person
who does the initial consultation, we also provide a customer
service rep on each ob as well as a design rep for helping with
paint color selection.
Q:
If painting in the field what type of paint do you use?
LRS: We proudly use Sherwin Williams Duration and Miller Evolution
paint, both come with a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty.
Q:
Are all of your crews insured, are there helpers?
LRS: Yes. All of our crews in the field are fully covered under
a worker's comp policy should they be injured.
Q:
Do you offer a lifetime warranty on your HardiPlank or cedar installation?
LRS: Yes, we offer a lifetime warranty on our siding jobs for
labor and materials. If any part of our job fails due to installation
while you are in your home we will replace it, free of charge.
Q:
Can you give me 15 or more references on homes that you’ve
covered with HardiPlank and cedar?
LRS: Yes, we will give you addresses and phone numbers for numerous
HardiPlank and cedar jobs that we have done in the past.
Q:
How long have you been in business?
A: We have been in business 9 years.
